Applying for review of a ruling

You may apply to the Régie du bâtiment du Québec (RBQ) for a review or contest the decision at the Tribunal administratif du travail (TAT) if it concerns:

  • the issuance, modification, suspension or cancellation of a licence
  • licence security (section 84 of the Building Act)
  • an order (sections 123 and 124 of the Building Act)
  • an equivalent or different measure (sections 127 and 128 of the Building Act)
  • the revocation, limitation, suspension, amendment or refusal of renewal of a permits (section 128.3 of the Building Act)
  • the recognition of a person or body (section 128.4 of the Building Act)

Review by the RBQ

  • Complete the Application for a review [Fr] – PDF (596 KB).
  • Your form must be received by the RBQ no later than the 30th day following the date when this decision was rendered, along with a cheque made payable to the RBQ. If you mail your form, you must ensure that the document will be received within the required time. To find out the amount payable, go to the Fee structure page [Fr].
  • Present your point of view at a hearing when you are summoned to appear by a commissioner. An RBQ review decision may uphold the initial decision, reject it, or amend it.
