Sample examination questions

The Régie du bâtiment du Québec (RBQ) uses examinations to verify the professional skills of licence applicants or their guarantors.

What does an examination question look like?

  • All examination questions are multiple choice.
  • There is only one correct answer for each question.
  • Because questions are multiple choice, the scoring is objective.
  • Some questions may refer to situation scenarios involving plans and specifications.
  • Some questions also require you to refer to other documents, such as codes, regulations or statutes. These will be provided to you during the examination.

Sample question – Administration

For some work, you apply an invoicing policy based on the following data:
  • The wage is established at $20.00/hour.
  • Employee benefits, employer contributions before the Commission des normes, de l’équité, de la santé et de sécurité du travail (CNESST) and various taxes on the payroll total $5.00/hour.
