This subclass authorizes construction work on all types of buildings including those in subclass 1.2, as well as the construction of inflatable structures governed by paragraph 2 of article 3.4 of the Regulation respecting the application of the Building Act.
It also authorizes construction work on new residential buildings governed by this subclass, but only if said work is subcontracted by the holder of the subclass 1.1.1 or 1.1.2 licence.
In addition, this subclass authorizes construction work covered by licence subclasses 2.6, 3.1, 4.1, 5.1 and 6.1 of Schedule II, when it relates to a building or inflatable structure covered by this subclass.
Finally, it authorizes similar or related construction work.
This subclass includes construction work in the 1.2 subclass.
This general contractor can bid on, carry out or have carried out all construction work on buildings of any type, i.e., residential, commercial, industrial, or public whose construction standards, with the exception of agricultural buildings and other exclusions, can be found in parts 3 to 6 of the National Building Code as modified by chapter I of the Québec Construction Code.
Part 3 of the 1995 National Building Code of Canada applies to all buildings designed for the following purposes:
with a building area exceeding 600 m² or a height exceeding three storeys, and designed for the following key purposes:
Inflatable structures subject to paragraph 2 of article 3.4 of the Regulation on the application of the Building Act are those used outdoors:
Note: While articles 3.3 and 3.4 of the Regulation respecting the application of the Building Act were recently removed, their contents were integrated in articles 1.021 (equivalent to former art. 3.3) and 1.022 (equivalent to former art. 3.4) of the Construction Code. Consequently, work covered by this subclass remains unchanged.
