14.3 Contractor – Other types of elevators

This subclass authorizes construction work that is not the exclusive domain of electrical contractors and relates to elevators that are not covered by subclass 1.10 in Schedule I and subclasses 14.1 and 14.2, as well as related construction work.

Additional explanations

This subclass authorizes, without exceeding the regulatory framework, construction work relating to:

  • the installation of mechanisms for scenery changes  
  • travelling cranes built into civil engineering works such as a power plants, incinerators, water treatment plants   
  • mobile stages (stage or orchestra pit lift systems)
  •  the installation of a mobile floor built into a pool  
  • trolley lifts
  • mechanized parking equipment integrated in the building. 

NOTE: This subclass does not include similar work.

NO LICENCE IS REQUIRED FOR THE FOLLOWING:

  • the construction of a travelling crane or conveyor system that is not part of the building’s equipment, except
