Subscription to the site

The abbreviation RSS means “Really Simple Syndication”. This technology allows you to consult, with the help of a single application, the most recent information from several websites, without having to visit these.

How to subscribe?

To subscribe to an RSS feed, one must use a software program called RSS reader or content aggregator. Dozens such different readers can easily be found on the Web, and some of these, accessible through your net browser, are free of charge and easy to install. One can also find on line free standalone desktop applications.

The websites offering one or several RSS feeds usually display the following icon or a declination:

To add a feed to your list of subscriptions, just click on the icon to display the RSS feed, then copy the URL address of the feed (http://www...) inside the appropriate field of the RSS reader.

Policy for using RSS feeds

The Government of Quebec makes information available to the general public. In order to consult rapidly the latest updates of this information, you can access news feeds in RSS format. When you subscribe to these free services, you agree to the following:

• To use the service exclusively for personal consumption;
• To not attempt to modify at any time the content of the RSS feeds;
• To not redistribute the content of the RSS feeds;
• To not present, use nor disseminate the content of the RSS feeds as the official version, and in any case to infer that the Government of Quebec, in particular, promotes or approves the ideas, opinions, issues, products, services or your own website or page.

Furthermore, to obtain the authorization of using or reproducing the RSS feeds for commercial purposes or for the implementation of some electronic product, you must first transmit your request to do so, by writing, to the attention of the intellectual property rights manager of the Government of Quebec .

The Government of Quebec reserves the right to modify at all times its Policy for using RSS feeds.
