It is strictly prohibited to use, on any material or item whatsoever, either the flag emblem identifying the Government of Québec or the RBQ logo.
An RBQ licence number has 10 digits. It must be indicated as follows: "RBQ licence: XXXX-XXXX-XX".
You must indicate your RBQ licence number on all of the following.
You must indicate your licence number on the signs you put up on construction sites if your company name is indicated there.
If you advertise your services on your website, professional or personal social networks, you must indicate your licence number.
Vehicles that display the company’s business name, that travel on public streets or on construction sites must display the RBQ licence number. This applies to light-duty trucks, heavy trucks and heavy machinery. For tractor semi-trailers, the licence number must be displayed on either the tractor or the trailer, or both, depending on whether advertising appears on one or both vehicle components. A single indication of the RBQ licence number is sufficient for each vehicle or vehicle part.
You must indicate your licence number on any type of advertising, including your business cards. In the phonebook, whenever a listing mentions your services (e.g. renovation or construction) or your activity sector (e.g. residential or commercial), your RBQ licence number must be indicated. However, simple listings (e.g. ABC Construction Inc., address, telephone number: 418-555-0000) do not need to include your licence number.
You must indicate your RBQ licence number on your estimates, bids, contracts, account statements and invoices.
